- RENOVATION

This renovation project was designed to reflect best practices associated with LEED v4 ID+C Standards for Commercial Interiors Renovations. In addition to updating the branch to reflect new corporate standards, The Pettit Group was asked to create an open but controlled environment which maintained sight lines between teller stations, private offices and the vault while also accommodating a list of services for a growing client base. We were forced to work around a number of existing / fixed conditions including an entry vestibule, stairways, load bearing columns, and banking equipment infrastructure. Our work also included upgrades to the existing mechanical system as well as exterior improvements and repairs which support energy efficiency an environmental stewardship.

The Barcelona Pavilion (Catalan: Pavelló alemany; Spanish: Pabellón alemán; "German Pavilion"), designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, was the German Pavilion for the 1929 International Exposition in Barcelona, Spain. This building was used for the official opening of the German section of the exhibition.[1] It is an important building in the history of modern architecture, known for its simple form and its spectacular use of extravagant materials, such as marble, red onyx and travertine. The same features of minimalism and spectacular can be applied to the prestigious furniture specifically designed for the building, among which the iconic Barcelona chair. It has inspired many important modernist buildings.
